How to de-fur wool sweaters after cuddling the cat?
My cat sleeps on my wool jumpers and by morning they’re covered in short black hairs. Lint roller tape always leaves residue on wool and pilling brushes make it worse. Looking for a gentle method that actually works on knitwear.

Wool + cat hair is a classic problem because the fibers interlock so easily. I avoid anything abrasive that causes pilling. First I hang the sweater outside and give it a few good whacks with a hanger to dislodge loose hair. Then for the rest I use very light pressure with adhesive. Keeping just 1 lint roller in my wardrobe means I can do a quick pass before wearing it—no residue, no snags on the knit. If there’s still a bit left I rub it gently with a piece of velcro (hook side only) as a last resort. Store sweaters in zip bags after to keep the cat off next time.
